Sometimes i get very excited by things I see and share in the world; other times I get angry and upset by what is happening in my name. It seems to me the blogging community by expressing its views and getting them discussed to could have an impact on what is happening.

Too often we just shrug our shoulders and ask what an invidual can do...now we have an opportunity to raise topics that could be discussed by people throughout the world and we could then make a difference.

Equally we must not get too serious; we can share the beautiful moments and the happy thoughts.

I am sitting here in a cold London with a wonderful mid-winter tan having just got back from a three week break in the very friendly Gambia in West Africa. It called the smiling coast and for good reason. Although the country is desperately poor the population have the widest smiles around and are always ready to help tourists.

The Gambia reminds me of Thailand say 20 years ago before the tourists tookover. It is unspoiled with miles and miles of white sandy beaches. Visit soon before the tourist pound changes it - as it eventually will, sadly.

Speak soon
